I am the survivor of 21 years of physical and emotional abuse at the hands of someone who was supposed to love me and care for me, my own father. Tears are streaming down my face as I finished, 2 am on a Friday night, K.L.’s book. I started it at 10 pm- yes, I read the whole thing in 4 hours. It’s riveting. So many things make sense. What she went through I fear is so very much worse than what I did, but so many things make sense. EXCEPT OUR DAMN JUSTICE SYSTEM! Wake up, social services! Wake up, advocates! To me, this book is a call to arms. More victims MUST stand up and become survivors. So these men can’t practice their evil for 40+ years!!!!! God help America and God have mercy on the evils that earthly fathers do. And shed light on the evils.
